The CS:GO Danger Zone battle-royale map Ember

New: Danger Zone, Free CS:GO Battle Royale (Beta)

4 min read

CS:GO's battle royale is on CSGOPremier now, and it's free to play. Danger Zone drops you into a big map with a pack of other players: loot up, fight, and outlast everyone to win. We run it as scheduled events you sign up for, so every drop has a full lobby of real people instead of you waiting around for one to fill. It's in beta, so we're still polishing it while people play.

Free, no Pro needed

You don't need Premium to play. There's no entry fee and no Pro gate. Sign in, sign up for the next event, and drop in. It sits alongside everything free players already get, like ranked matches and tournaments.

How a Danger Zone event works

Danger Zone runs on a schedule. Sign up for an upcoming event to show you're interested. That doesn't reserve a slot, but it does earn you a head start. About 15 minutes before the match, check-in opens and the limited spots are claimed first come, first served. Players who signed up get the first few minutes to claim before it opens to everyone, so showing up early pays off. Once the lobby is live you get a connect command, you drop in, and you fight to be the last one standing.

Solo or duos

Play it alone, or pair up with a friend as a duo and drop in together as a squad. Either way you're fighting everyone else in the lobby for the win.

Four maps to drop into

You play across the Danger Zone map pool: Blacksite, Ember, Vineyard and Sirocco, each built for the mode.

It's still in beta

Danger Zone just launched and it's in beta, so expect rough edges while we tune it. Placement goes to the last player standing, then everyone else by how long they survived, with your eliminations and time alive recorded too. If something feels off, tell us. That feedback is what shapes the next version.

How to jump in

Find Danger Zone under Fun in the sidebar, or head straight to the Danger Zone page. Sign up for the next event, claim your spot when check-in opens, and drop in. How do I get into a match?

Sign up for an upcoming event first. About 15 minutes before it starts, check-in opens and you claim one of the limited slots, first come, first served. Players who signed up get a short head start to claim before it opens to everyone. Once it's live you get a connect command and drop in.

Yes. You can queue solo, or pair up with a friend as a duo and drop in together as a squad.

Which maps can I play?

The Danger Zone map pool: Blacksite, Ember, Vineyard and Sirocco.

Does Danger Zone affect my rank?

No. It runs separately from ranked matchmaking and doesn't touch your competitive rank or LP.

What does it mean that Danger Zone is in beta?
